Each year, CW4WAfghan volunteers come together for our annual symposium to share their work, connect with global leaders striving for human rights, and fortify their energy and passion to continue their work. This year we will host our Symposium, Afghanistan Ascending: Strengthening Education in Afghanistan, in Ottawa, ON on Sep 29-Oct 1, 2016.

 

The National Symposium is a highlight of our year and one more way that we reinforce the belief that individuals, as global citizens, working in solidarity and with integrity of purpose and action, and in partnership with the people of Afghanistan, can affect positive change in the world through education and the promotion of social justice and human rights.

 

Sponsorship funds will help cover costs for our various guest speakers, as well as allow us to reduce or waive the registration fees for our student delegates and to offset some of the overhead costs. This OTTAWA 2016 Symposium many distinguished guest speakers, including our Country Director, Murwarid Ziayee from Kabul.

 

The event will be covered by local and national media and is being well publicized throughout the country before, during and after the symposium.
